James Greens Exhibition – ‘Rhondda World’ February 11th February 2016

This exhibition took place in the MADE Gallery in Cardiff. The exhibition consisted of a multitude of James’s colorfully and intricately painted masks as well as James Greens 10 year collection of miniature collages and a few of his paintings. It was a truly stunning and unique display. James’s current practice has developed around his interest in the symbolism behind masks and he has merged this with his experiences of growing up in the Valleys along with the experience he gained traveling to places around the word. Masks are cultural objects and tend to reflect the culture that they were created in.

James also ran free workshops on mask making, and collage.  I really enjoyed this exhibition.  It was vibrant and fun and a good chance to mingle.
